Just left to grab dinner before I go back.
-more vendors then I’ve seen in years! And the money is flowing
-the place is packed. At 1030 am I was already parked wayyyy back
- they are no longer allowing campers to park out front … thank god
- the lay out has changed for the better

I really feel pool is on the up swing and I’m happy to support it. I’ve waited 30 years for this. Heading into watch a friend play in the pro arena tonight. If you can I hope you can make it!

Fantastic news and good for the game and industry. The game is more popular than ever.

What recession?

Cue market is strong right now. I did lots of trades in January & Feb. I think it stays strong for a while. Happy days. Thx for the update

Great to hear! I agree, pool seems to be on the upswing around here too, happy to hear it's noticeable there as well.

More young people, more casual players and some of them end up really getting into it and taking it serious. I used to know almost everybody who showed up to my local spot with their own cue...not anymore, see all sorts of new groups of people coming in with simple 1x1 cases playing. Great to see some growth in the game!

Was there today.
Yup, layout is completely different this year.

Spoke to Stephen Janes at the Joss setup about building me a cue.
Dan, his father, built one for me about 7 years ago.
Asked him about making me a Bushka tribute in a box cue. Birdseye maple and Ebony butt using fall colors for the inlays (rust, tans, browns, yellows) in the points and in the boxes.
Cut diamonds and dots in the points and boxes.
I left a lot up to him to use his creativity as far the order of the colors.

On the good side my son won his first match in the Players Championship.
Consequently I have his 2 year old puppy tonight.
I play tomorrow in the Seniors.

This year's Super Billiards Expo must be the land of opportunities. Saw a couple of people I knew from back home. They made the same excuse, gave their opponents too many opportunities. :-)

Please check out the new GC, and let us know what you think!
The gold crown looks plastic and cheap to me. The anniversary looks fantastic. IMO but both look better then the predator tables lol

Now that's funny.

Very cool Philly.... no such thing as too many cues. I'm glad I'm not with you.... I'd buy or build the first nice cue I looked at. Have fun. Wish your son good luck for me.

I will, bud.
You're the cue guy.

We need more rooms.

I am seeing less coin op tables in pool rooms and pretty much in general. I’ve always suspected the popularity of 7ft tables was somewhat responsible for the decline of cue sports enthusiasm in the US.

Check out the Predator table across from Jeanette Lee's booth. Carom tables have no pockets, so you don't have to worry about scratching. One less thing to worry! :-)
