Was thinking of having a cue made of this wood. I really liked It. I really would appreciate some one posting a picture of a cue that was completed with this material. Thanks

some fool is making it.

I have a big chunk of curly bubinga...there might be some quilting in it along one edge...I haven't done anything with it as I haven't been building cues for the last couple of months...

Which class of wood does quilted bubinga belongs to, the harder compound wood or the softer ones.;)

The sight I saw it on made it seem better than Maple in every respect. Maybe a cuemaker could chime in with their opinion.

It's classified as rosewood, African Rosewood.
It doesn't have the best tone among rosewoods.
Not quite as pingy as purple, honduran or brazian or bolivian.
It is heavier than Indian rosewood.
As a forearm, imo, it hits much better with purpleheart handle than maple handle.

I was a little surprised to see it as a forearm there Joey. I think the purpleheart is a good mate. How's the weight of that cue?
