The IPT Member, who is a former World 8-Ball Champion on the small english tables, and currently ranked 22 on the World Snooker Tour has announced he will leave World Snooker.

The annoucement came as Hann was due to attend a World Snooker enquiry regarding possible match fixing.

Insider rumors have it that a fellow player jested about a match being thrown within earshot of a reporter. The truth may never be known.

Here is a story on the incident:

Quinten is likely to produce quite a storm on the year's IPT tour.

In addition to his World 8-Ball title, he won the only 2 Lindrum Masters Multi-Cue Sports events which pitched the world's best in a battle of 9-Ball, 8-Ball, Snooker and Englih Billiards.

no great loss.

speaking as an aussie- though i havent met the bloke, but everyone i have spoke to concerning this guy seems to think he is a goose. Its a shame he is one of the only Australians getting exposure, but for the wrong reasons.

Better watch out colin, ive read in the past he had a few boxing matches against opponents. ;)

Well I put in a few good words for him, and we've played a couple of times so I hope he doesn't try his new boxing moves on me:D

Anyway, I think 8-ball is his game and he'll certainly add some color to the IPT. He's like the Earl Strickland of Snooker as far as stirring controversy goes.

He definitely caused a few stirrs on the snooker table, like conceeding a frame with 12 reds on the table, or busting up the reds from behind on the break and he once "sort off" raised his cue at his opponent, which in snooker is unheard of. But I've also seen him play excellent matches, being the most perfect gentleman.

I think he's just one of these players who get under their own skin from time to time, and he just can't help himself. I haven't heard about boxing matches, which would be inexcusable, and I can't really see him doing that.

I would love to see him play pool though, it's definitely the game for him. Having said that, luck plays a bigger factor in pool and that can't help his temper. If he can keep it together though he is one of those players that can string racks together for fun.

I heard he was charged for sexual harassement and rape a couple times but was found not guilty.

I remember watching him in the World Pool Championship and he was a very colorful player with the long sideburn. I hope he will do well on the IPT.

How did you miss "Pot Whack"?

Ahh right, is that what tickets meant. I didn't see the show and kinda forgot Quinten took part in that, just remembered that Mark got his nose broke. I thought tickets meant he got into fistfights after/during matches.

Perfect, just what pool needs, another nutbar. I can't wait for the fireworks.

It should be fun to watch if he and Strickland get into it while playing each other, sounds like the fireworks are inevitable if they draw each other and get under each others skin. Should make for good TV.

Hann is great player with bags of natural talent.....if only he had the head to match he could have been one of the very best at snooker, I am sure he will be tough to beat on the IPT
