Quinten Hann to win Reno

Isn't Hann Australian, or was he born in the UK? Anyways, I saw a match with him playing Mika Immonen in either the '99 or 2000 WPC. He had this expression on his face the entire match, similar to Fong Pang Chao's, but Hann had more of a smirk. When I watched the tape, I had no idea who he was. But when I saw him play, he really impressed me. The smirk made him seem kind of arrogant, but he held his own against Mika. Mika played near perfect pool to squeak by him and win the match. Hann definately has one of the best strokes I've ever seen.

John Schmidt vs Hann playing pool? I think that would be a great match, I'd pay to watch it. At Reno you will be able to talk to him John, maybe you should ask him yourself and set something up. He is so cocky he might agree.

I don't see how you can say he won a World 8-ball tourny, when the game is only played in the UK. So he has won a tourny against kids, and a UK 8-ball title, and was top 16 in snooker. I don't see where this gets him anywhere close to best overall player, he wouldn't even be on my short list.

The 2-shot rule World Championship is a very tough event to win. It runs drung the world teams championships so features most of the best players from many nations. Quinten is believed by many to be the best or among the top few in this discipline.

It's also worth noting that he won the only 2 Multi-Cue Sport Challenges that were ever held (as I understand). These events featured around 16 of the best players from around the world from the sports of US pool, Snooker and English Billiards. They played 8-ball, 9-ball (on US tables), snooker and English Billiards.

This doesn't prove he's the best all rounder, but it provides evidence that he is a very adaptable all round player of world class level.
