"...billiards has destroyed my naturally sweet disposition."

Seriously. There cant be a better quote about the game.

And another, from mr. Clemens:
This is a most amusing game. When you play badly it amuses me, and when I play badly and lose my temper, it certainly must amuse you.

Grady Matthews

" 9-Ball - If it doesn't look easy, it is not being played correctly" - Grady Matthews ( Said during one of the Accustats commentaries)

I'm not sure that would apply to graduate-school physics final exams, but pool?

BINGO!

I feel ‘study long’ hurts your game in competition....
...but to become a ‘player’...you have to study long...
...just don’t take that attitude into action.

My first boss, a golf pro, told me to do my practising on the practise field....
...NOT on the course.

I took it to mean while in action, just before actually making the shot. People have always said I play quickly. My reply was always, I'm like a bicycle... if I don't maintain a certain speed, I'll fall over! :D :yeah:

One of my favorites from U J Puckett....reading a newspaper in the early 70s...
...looks up and says “Richard Nixon, president of the Yew-nited States of America...
....and can’t hit the end rail!”
