***NEW PICS****-R- one piece ivory wedge ebony titlist veneers

More pics to come when it arrives.

****NEW PICS**** SCROLL DOWN TO SEE****

About 19 oz with no added weight. Ivory ferrule, Ivory wedge. Just like the Brunswick cues from around the 1915-20 era. Pics are before finish.

More info:

There hasn't been a one piece cue made in USA since Brunswick went out of business in the early seventies.
Over seas Adams made a few hoppe Pros and some titlist one piece copies for a few years, other than that one piece ebony titlist are very rae these days.

Cue may be available.

How high is the tip of the points from the butt end? tks.

Just talked to Jerry, point tips are 26 1/2" from bottom of the butt.

I can't wait to see this beauty. I'll take some good pics of the one piece cues Jerry has built together recently.

They should make for a GREAT shot!!

R Cue

I have had Jerry build two cues for me, both were TOP NOTCH, I really don't think Jerry gets his due.

Does the wedge have a purpose or is it just decoration? My hand is on the butt sleeve a lot, even with a 60" cue, and I think that would bug the crap out of me lol. That said, the cues look great, even though I'm not a fan of titlist veneer colors.

Zeeder,

Jerry also does the wedge without a flat spot. He can do them round.

I find I grab the cue with the flat spot on my thumb so I hold the cue exactly the same for every shot. Makes for a consistant grip, and shot execution. I felt the same way as you at first, then realized the benefit to the flat wedge. No surprises!!!

Thanks for the explanation. I'm not sure I'll ever get a chance to try one with the flat wedge but it'd definitely be interesting. Again, you've got some pretty sweet looking -R-'s!

One piece cues... WOW! I love it.

Calling JB... somebody's gonna need a case for those!!!

When I was in England years ago, a top snooker player told me that the purpose of the flat wedge was so that you could put the flat slide to the table on very hard to reach long shots that required the mechanical bridge. Once the shot was aligned, the player would "push" the cue towards the shot, keeping the wedge in contact with the playing surface. There are probably other reasons for the wedge as well.

Here's a thread that discusses it a little:
