I don't know how this got here I put it in the main forum as a poll, but I edited the opening:

Out of opponent racks or ref racks what’s your opinion of the “rack inspectors” not meaning those who come down and look it over if they think there may be a problem (because I think everyone does that; or at least a VERY high % of us) but rather those who carefully inspect every rack even though you gave them 100 perfect racks before they still come over and “check it out”. I have to restate this because there are a lot of people that skim posts. I mean ONLY THAT MEANS ONLY those people that INSPECT EVERY SINGLE RACK every single time; I am NOT talking about those people that go inspect it IF they think there MIGHT be a problem with it.

If you get "100 perfect racks" in a row that doesn't mean that the next rack will be tight. Cheating with the rack is rampant with hustlers and is not unknown among professionals, even in major events. Besides, a ball can move after the rack. And the balls may be racked loosely unintentionally. I don't mind people checking my racks, - it only takes a few seconds.

I inspect every rack and I would expect my opponent to do the same. I don't do this to get under anyone's skin I am just looking for things that will increase my percentages in having a successful break.

I have been asked a few times by my opponent if the rack is OK, and I usually say it is fine, I am just looking to see how I want to break this rack.

I have even been known to point out to my opponent when they might want to fix the rack to not give me an advantage like having a gap behind the 9 ball, or straightening out an 8 ball rack so the second ball break is not as easy. They agree when I say, you would not want me to make the 9 on the break would you?

If I could remove this I would; people (like you have not) understand this without the poll attached.

It is not possible to understand this without the poll.

Seems to me you were asking for an opinion of what we thought of folks that inspect every rack.

Poll or not, I answered the question. I guess I could ask, why it is here since you have the same thing (with poll) in main forum?

It is not possible to understand this without the poll.
