radial pins?

Hi i'm not a cue maker but i was wondering if all radial pin cues were the same. i have a cue with a radial pin that i'd like joint protectors for, and maybe an aftermarket shaft. but are they all the same? thanks for the help

No. There are at least 2 different style radial pins. Uni-loc's pin is a 3/8X7.6xxx where as the Chinese radial is a 3/8X8.

To me it looks like the 3/8x8 But I'm no expert. If you had a close up of the pin, it would be much easier to tell.

I agree. Without the cue in front of me, or the full length pin, how can you judge less than a half thread over an inch when you don't know how much is sticking out of the joint.
