For all the folks that have bought raffle tickets....

The drawing was supposed to take place this weekend at the Tiger Pool Tour event at Bill & Billies in Arnold, MD. This event usually has a few AZ members that would've been there to witness the draw.

Arnold, MD is approx 2 hrs from where I live and the front end of my car started making a not so funny noise last night on the way home. I've tried to get an appt with the dealership between now and Sat morning but they cannot work me in until Monday evening. I'm not comfortable driving my car 4 hrs on Sat with the noise that it's making.

I would very much like to go ahead with the drawing and get it done. BANKONIT was going to drive to Arnold for the drawing...DON'T go if that's the only reason you're driving out!

BANKONIT, if the members are willing to leave it up to you, myself, and whoever else lives in the area to do the drawing at club med in Harrisburg, would you be willing to make the much shorter drive? CaptJR, you live in the area... would you be willing to meet up in Harrisburg? Wagnew? Anyone else?

Let me know how you guys want me to proceed. If it's not this weekend, it would have to be the next Tiger Tour event which is currently scheduled for 10/21 but a location has not been announced so I don't know if it would be driving distance. There are two rooms that they hold events at that are too far for me to drive out to for just a weekend.

Sorry folks, believe me when I tell you that I wish this hadn't happened... goodness only knows what the car repair bill could end up costing me.... :(

I trust ya Timberly.. :) My luck has been nothing short of amazing lately though so if all 40 of my tickets win, I'm not sure how everyone else is going to feel about that. :D

I say draw it this weekend. :)

You are the one that has done most of the work, I trust you to do whatever works best for you. Draw the tickets when you can, and that you feel comfortable with it. In other words I trust you and respect your choice.
happy drawing

Timberly, do the drawing whenever you want to. Just don't drive that car any more than you have to, until it is repaired. Don't take any chances with your safety.

I vote for whatevers the easiest for you. And i agree with Rich, dont take any chances with your safety. Aint no big thing, its not like we will be waiting for our checks. Take care Kido.

To maintain the integrity of the raffle, I would like to hear my name win something. I haven't bought any tickets, so you'll have to remember to call it out "randomly".

In all seriousness, a raffle isn't worth risking breaking down in the middle of nowhere. With all the craziness going on in society now (who shoots up an AMISH school anyway??), no person, especially a female, is safe on the side of some road. The people on this board have offered to pool money for things before; I would be willing to donate money towards a rental car for the weekend. We may not have gotten along these past few months, but you've done a hell of a job with this raffle. (Personally, I use Enterprise because they pick me up.)

As for your car, try calling around to different car places, NOT dealers. Their markup is ridiculous. I took my boss' truck to the dealership, and it was about $2000 more than a "non-dealership".

EDIT: Timberly, what city do you live in? I'll even call some rental car places tomorrow.

LOL, I'm not reluctant, I'm fat. :p

Believe me, I've no qualms about finding a nice rich guy. Drivermaker is hell bent on me finding a nice jewish doctor. :D I've no qualms about that either. ;) These guys just aren't all that easy to find. How about you find me one vagabond, do you know any?? :)

I know a nice Jewish doctor!

Hey! I just happen to know a nice Jewish doctor that would probably want you to put on more weight! You don't mind if he is married, do you?

About the raffle, whatever is convenient. I have won one prize in fifty years so I don't think I'll be staying up late wondering what I won anyway!

I think we can trust you!!!

Timberly,
I don't care what you do, I'm quite sure if you held the drawing in the privacy of your own bedroom with no witnesses you'd be fair. Besides, I won a cue in the raffle at our league "banquet" a month ago thus using up ALL my luck for the next decade, so what do I care? :D
Peace out sister.
Steve.

A rich guy? Jewish doctor? Pool player?

I've dated guys in the past that were certainly self supporting with a little extra money that allowed us to enjoy some of the finer, fun things in life... I would do that again.

I've never dated a jewish doctor... or any doctor, but I have dated a paramedic. There's definitely something sexy about them... that whole knight in shining armour coming to the rescue if I ever get hurt thing. :p I would date a doctor or another paramedic.

I swore off pool players when I was 18. Fast forward 15 yrs and I went against my better judgment and dated one. I learned the hard way what I already knew... don't go against your instincts. ;)

And Hu, yes it matters that he's married.... He'd better be single and lord help the next one that tells me is when he isn't.

Rut Roh raggy, we have a problem... This isn't going to make Drivermaker happy but I'm going to have to give up on the Jewish doctor. Being from the south I can't even pronounce the regular english language correctly... LOL, I can't read hebrew let alone pronounce it.

creepy foot doctor?

Yeah, I thought it might! :D :D :D

He is a foot doctor over in Alabama and I think about him every time I see the Red Label beer commercial with the creepy foot doctor. Good guy though and he was a blast to compete with in another sport. Last I knew he was fairly thoroughly married however.
