I can't afford $1,000, but I'm sure there are some that can... again, it's a GAMBLE as stated already!
One thing I would suggest: Whoever is going to draw the names/numbers for prizes, must have access to live video feed and it be done live and only those involved need to have access to the drawing for security purposes, especially for the first raffle at this level!
What if you got 30 people to kick in $750, that gives $22,500 to the raffle. Only the first 20 will win a cue or case, the other 10 that don't win prizes receives $250 back... you still get the $20,000 to cover merchandise, and the losers are only out $500, instead of spending $1,000 on a $200-$300 item and be out $700-$800?
