Raffle to end all raffles -- $22 for $800

Who would be willing to do a $21 raffle in which the winner gets $800? Use the powerball 42 spots. My number of $21 might be a little off but i figured with paypal getting involved in both the entry & the winning payment it would be close. I could run the first one or if a more respected/ well known member would like to step up and volunteer it would be great as well. Winner of each raffle would then be the administrator for the next one. Any thoughts or ideas on this? I think it may help to calm all the arguing in the raffle sections over fair value because you are getting what is put in minus paypal fees. And whoever wins can buy whatever they want on azb, just post pics. If there is interest please pm me or post on this thread. If it works maybe we can do a few different ones aka. 5, 10, 20, & 50 dollar a spot.

With the legalities. But then again cue raffles arent really legal either but no one seems to care. either way, #14 right here

If you're able to please go into details on this one. I don't think anyone is looking to rip anyone off here. Just thought it was worth looking into and getting some feedback on. Stipulations can be set on who runs the raffle as well as posting the numbers on it.

I dont know the laws in the US but if you do it so the guy running the raffle makes any kind of profit or takes off the top(which is fine with me for someone who puts in a few hours to get the raffle going) it could be trouble

I think he hit it on the head. This ouwld be the "raffle to end all raffles"

Raffles for cash are not pool related and don't belong on this site. There are plenty of other places on the internet to gamble in whatever way you want.

I agree. There needs to be a demarcation between gambling and raffle. I would certainly not be part of this.

well it was just a thought to try to put a stop to this constant arguing over what a cue is worth in the raffle area. but from the comments & pm's i've gotten sounds like i could already get into a shitpot of trouble for even posting it. not like a 1/42 chance for 20 for a 400 cue isn't gambling, and the entire point of the money being raised is so that it would go back into az members through cues cases whatever. mod's please move this into another forum before i get chastized again please.

but then again why would a seller want money going into the hands of someone who would buy there cue. oh yeah......cause they would give them what it's worth. why would they do that when they can get so much more out of a raffle?

if there was a way that the money won would have to be used for an item in the az ads it might fly but how could it be enforced? its a good idea to spark sales but no way to make sure that is where it goes, but would probably end up being trouble before its all said and done.
