Got any stories?
I shot at Banana's in San Antonio which claims many players came through due to their proximity to the RR. I'm in Alpine, TX playing tonight on a table at the Holland Hotel built in 1927 across the street from the RR station. Has me thinking of all the greats who traveled by rail to hustle up a game.My local pool hall, back in the 60’s and 70’s, was right next to the railroad tracks. And a few years ago, I rode the Brightline, round trip, from West Palm Beach to Miami. Was looking for a pool hall the whole time. Didn’t see one, which was disappointing. Probably not the railroad/pool story you wanted but maybe the bump will make someone reply, with a real story.
