Raleigh NC pool rooms

I'm taking a business trip to Raleigh in July and was looking for a place to shoot pool. Not looking for action just going to go out and shoot some with a few people from work. I googled for rooms and came up with a few. The two that looked good to me were Snookers and Brass Tap & Billiards. Anybody in Raleigh want to chime in on where to go?

Been to Brass Tap. Excellent place...a player's room, in my experience.

A good, clean room with GC-V's is Buck's Billiards (919.467.5411). Another nice room with Diamond's is On the Snap in Fuquay-Varina re 20 min drive from Raleigh (919.557.9060). Brass Tap is an old school player's room, for sure.

I would have to agree:

Buck's.... to hit em around

Brass Tap.... looking for some action

On the Snap.... Great bar and pool hall

Sorry, that's GC-IV's @ Bucks vs GC-V's. Wishful thinking again!

Brass Taps.....

Brass Taps is the only room I've ever seen busted. It was in the '80s or 90's at a Pro tournament. Time flies when your having fun. They were holding the Calcutta and as they called my name I started to go up and buy my name. When just in front of me this guy takes his jacket out and out comes a shotgun. The back of his shirt read ATF. I never seen so many shotguns in a pool room. The cops took all the money. I remember young Shannon freaking out. That's my story and I'm sticking with it ......grin. Great action pool room, Barney :)

Which part of Raleigh?

On the north side of Raleigh:
Browns, GC and a Diamond
NY Billiards, GC, snooker, 3 cushion
Brass Tap, GC, bar boxes and 3 tight pocket tables. Archer was house pro

On the south side:
Snookers, college crowd
Bucks, formerly Babineus, GC
High House, GC

All are nice places.
