Ralf Forfeits!???

Google "pro pool rankings" and go through the first page and see where all players have been ranked from 07-11...I don't post things I don't read myself as it can easily be looked up in 3 minutes. I get that you feel like Souquet is some sort of world beater..thats great, I don't deny he's a fantastic player but in my opinion not as good as Corey right now and even further away from Shane.

It is my belief watching and reading about the 9-10 ball tournaments that Shane is taking down that he is the best of the American/European Pool scene. I am not talking Filipinos...I am talking USA and Europe only. I do believe Shane is the man to beat going into the tournament and I have heard other pro's say the same thing. I'm certainly not going out on a limb here. And I honestly believe that its a closer comparison with Mika and Shane then Ralf and Shane.

But again thats how I see it and others can see it differently..but this nonsense of "Corey knew Ralf would beat him 8 out of 10 sets"..that sort of idiocy cant just let fly in here without being challenged.

If Ralf and Corey are to play anytime in the next year, PM me and you can definitely get action on Corey.

id also like a piece of that.

I have read the ratings, they dont include many events, it said 5-7 events a year. But I'm still stunned to see that Corey could beat Ralf in any ranking in 2011. He would also beat Ralf in the 2011 BCA Pro Player's height ranking. Sorry to burst your bubble but Ralf is a heavy favorite playing Corey.

bustin my bubble? Im betting on Ralf.

sorry i only wanted to second your quote and then talk to Mr Palmerfan, reading my comment now I can see how you can take it the wrong way.

I believe if Corey were offered a race to 21 vs Ralf On his own money, he would turn it down.

I'll take the action

I definitely will..and I dont think it will be close. Corey will soft break and get a look at the 1 or 2 all day.

This discussion is useless, because Ralf S. is a very *unique* Pro. He hasn t and will never play for *money*-except in an official tournament. He don t like hustling/sharking/ and further not playing for money.

And anyway: the discussion it self makes no sense- the tournament director is the joker-- it s ashaming that he asked Corey if he still would play against Ralf. The Tournament has to decide and not Corey-just unfair towards Corey.

And i m very sure that both (corey and ralf) don t have any problem with each other about what happened there.

Ingo

These 10+ page threads easily get sidetracked. I agree with you. I'm sure if Ralf would have been interviewed about this incident, he wouldn't say a word against Corey.

My point was merely that imho, even Corey knows he is the underdog vs ralf.

I'm in, when the occasion arrives, we'll figure out the formalities. I'm also not on the good action list (yet). Good luck to you.

I read know most of the posts in here and I´m a little bit amazed.

First of all I´m pretty sure, Ralph would have waited for Corey if he had the accidant. Why? Because Ralph has never forget where he came from and kept his humanity (hopefully I wrote this right).
This wasn´t a unforced mistake by Ralph and I would have expected Corey to be a sportsman of old fashion (as Ralph would be). The tournament-plan called the match Deuel vs. Souquet und Corey took the fortune of the moment and won without playing.
What if another player takes the idea, pays a random guy for hitting the next oponent on tournament with a car in the morning?
Where does mankind come to, if everybody looses all morality due to earning money- I bet you know!
For me this is not a question of existing rules and keeping them but moral behaviour and sportsmanship.

BTW if you discuss who plays better- European or US- guys... keep in mind, that pool isn´t that popular in Europe and there is much less money on tournaments than it is in the US. Due to this many players aren´t able to play international tournaments.
There are about 10 to 20 players only in Germany, who can beat Ralph, Thorsten or Oliver.

Here´s an example of how it could come, when Shane plays Ralph http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXC0HthCsUc&feature=related

and here´s an example of what is still to come http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=to4kz60G7gU

After English is not my motherlanguage, I may wrote misunderstandable. After all I have a lot of respect for all players- doesn´t matter where they are from.
I also think, that svb is at the moment one to count on wherever he plays. Also is Earl the girl- I love to watch him when he´s in stroke!

I just wanted to mention, that there are a lot of players which are completely unknown in other parts of the world- and after I´m German this is the place I know best.

I thought it would be interesting to you American guys to see what happens in other parts of the world...

If this came out respectles, I apologize for that...

BTW- I´m not a big friend of Mosconi cup even it could be a great event. But what supporters do with the opponents isn´t what I call sportmanslike- on bothe sides.

I watched that first video and just wanted to know how you could justify hijacking this thread with Billy I. bloopers. Billy is one of our most favorite commentators and we all get the shot wrong from time to time, except for my buddy Grady Mathews.

But seriously, there are many possible situations where the player comes in late and it is not the fault of the player ("unforced errors" :-)).

This sport and other sports can ill afford to allow any of them to be made exceptions of.

It reminds me of a typical APA league night :sorry:!!!

This match up will always be close. They both are capable of anything. Both top pros period. If anything, Ralf has a little more heart than Corey. I think Corey has grown tired of the game. The talent edge might just go to Corey though.

Tap, tap, tap. IMO, if Corey and Alex were as commited to pool as Ralf is, they would be the odds-on favorites in most of the rotation pool tournaments they entered. IF.......(a mighty big word)!!!

Them two boys got some TALENT!!! They just can't stay commited to it.

And good luck to you..i don't need to be on any "GAL"..I'll give you my ebay screen name which i've been a member since Feb 99 and have 100% Feedback..my word is my word and I wont break it for $100-$200 bet on a pool match..if I lose a bet the $ will be in your Paypal account immediately..I'm assuming the same on your end. If you saw my Paypal transactions from Sept to January you will see 2-3-4,$1000 transactions back and forth between out of state College friends..we bet roughly 3 dimes a week on NFL so no worries..
