Ralf Souquet Bridge Length...?

I was watching the stream from Turning Stone and I noticed that Ralf's bridge length on a number of shots is VERY long. It would seem to me that such a bridge length would lend itself to successful use of backhand english. Does anyone know if Ralf Souquet uses the backhand english method?

In watching him play Jesse Engel at Turning Stone, it does not appear as though he cues the center and then applies english. However, on a number of shots it does look like his cue is short-of aiming across the cue ball. Check out the seven ball at 53:00. There was another shot earlier, but I did not think to take the time down.

For that matter do you know of any pros that consistently use backhand english?

Efren starts stroking at the base of the CB and then applies english on the follow through.
