i think this would be the ultimate in the brains match. maybe a race to 30 in 9-ball. and then a race to 15 in 8-ball, and to wrap it up, straight pool to 400 points. uncut, and live, over a period of 2 months, the winner gets 5 million dollars, the loser, a deli sandwich of there choice named after them.

Ralf looks more like the Little King than a big time shooter, but he would have to rank right up there as one of the toughest matches on the planet. He concentrates better than anyone. He takes a lot of time which can disrupt your rythym. His execution is as close to perfect as possible. He rarely plays poorly, and makes very few mistakes. With the exception of taking a lot of time, I suppose that could also describe Steve Davis. I think Ralf wins this match-up 7 times out of 10.

Why should Davis have to play all pool games? Why don't you have them playing some Snooker? This is like having Ralf play Balkline Billiards, Straight Carom and 3 Cushion billiards against a billiard player.

I'll put my cash on Ralph over any player on the planet playing 8-ball, he is a 10 time European 8-ball champ and simply a master of the game. 9-ball would be alot closer as Steve can play with the big boys when he is in stroke, and I have no idea if Steve has ever played straight pool???
