Ralph Eckert is in the US and ready to teach!! (Posting for Mr Eckert)

For those that may be curious- @the World 14.1, Ralph advanced from his round robin group, undefeated. His notable win came over past 14.1 champion John Schmidt. Ralph advances to the single elimination stage of final 24 as one of the top seeded players.

Not to mention, he's a 400+ ball runner. ...

Eckert's website indicates his high run is 350. You may be thinking of Thomas Engert, another German with a similar sounding last name, who does have a high run over 400.

I'd be interest in a lesson but I'm not going to NYC in the next month or two and he's not coming to STL. If anyone can get a lesson from Ralph, don't think you could go wrong...

Put a group together (perhaps also with a private lesson): "... For serious inquiries in group clinics, exhibitions or trick shows. I'm willing to take flights anywhere in the U.S.! ..."

No one (spelt: n-o o-n-e, but moi) plays 14.1 in St. Louis. It is a 1pocket town.

Ah, could be. I knew Eckert was a monster Straight Pool player...

Only a 350 ball runner? I take back the good things i said about him, then.

Lol. Still a monster. He just defeated John Schmidt, for the second time during the current World 14.1.

I saw your post above. Engert ran 492 and Hohmann 408. I'm pretty sure the only 2 Germans with 400+ ball runs.

All monsters left at the World 14.1 as they're down to the final 16, single elimination. Next up for Ralph is Johnny Archer. I'm friends with both and wish them both well and good luck.

Hah, those guys played against each other in Germany just two weeks ago in the exhibition game at the Hangelar Open. Johnny won the event BTW, playing near flawless 10 ball. Was awesome to watch!

A jees Dave, you aren't still sore about that are ya??

Fatboy gets to Amterdam tonight, looking forward to a day of 1 pocket with him tomorrow. I'll say you said hello :)

When playing I try to remember my wins to stay positive.

When gambling I try to remember my losses to avoid them in the future.
It's all good though, Fatboy is great to gamble with. I'll get the money
back in London during Mosconi.

Have fun you 2.

Lol. In all these posts/replies/responses, I should've made it clear that Ralph is a German national. He is also the creator of the PAT billiard training system. There may be some PAT videos on YouTube. He goes way back with other German notables like Souquet and Hohmann, fwiw.

His PAT material was exceptional- the DVDs went in-depth into areas of pool and fundamentals that I haven't seen since.

Ralph is now pushing the CheckBilliard app which he is involved in.
There are quite a few great mini training videos involved with it.
