Has anyone ever noticed that Ralph uses a cue tip cover that he puts on his cues when he puts them away?

I was wondering what type of cover it was.

I've seen the Cue-Z version, but I think that the pne Ralph's are different.

All help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I believe it is some that his dad made for him. I am not 100% sure though

tip condems

I noticed these on that YouTube video. He does a "whats in the case" video from the 2009 DCC.

IIRC he said him and his Dad made them.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Guys!

Thanks for your help guys!

I appreciate it.

I will go look at the youtube video and see what they look like.

If anyone knows the link, that would save me the search.

My wife made some from table cloth remnants when we bought our table.

Yes, Ralf's dad made those for him. He gave me a couple after we did our WITC interview. He usually has extra stuff like that in his case, along with tips, etc for sale. So, the next time you see him you can just ask him about it and he may have some he can spare.

They are made out of a black, plastic material with a hard (leather, maybe) tip part to protect the tip. They come oversized. You slip them over your tip and take a lighter (gently) to the sides and shrink it to the size of your ferrule.

They're pretty cool.

Sorry to sidetrack...but heres what I use to protect the case from chalk:

I use those shaft socks sleeves that come with the predator shafts. They come with a string on the end, and stretch to fit longer shafts and joint protectors. They protect the case from the chalk on your tip or shaft, and you can throw them in the washer whenever they get dirty. No need to use a lighter, or risk damaing the shaft.

They also work well in one of those oversized cases: instead of having to tilt the case to get the shaft, I just pull on the shaft sock with the string on the end, and pull upward, no need to tilt the case and have other shafts or butts accidentally drop out. Wish there were more readily available, and customized sizes big enough to fit the butt end. Maybe Cue-Z products could start making those if there was enough interest.

I have tip covers similar to Ralf's.

Mine came with my case:

ibcuecases.com <-------i cant make this a link for some reason, its a good site, take a look at it. they are the best cases I haver seen.

They keep the inside of the case from turning blue, I wipe my tip off after I play then use the slip cover thats about 2" long, it serves no prupose other than keeping the inside of the case clean.

I have seen Ralfs case, cue, and all the stuff in his case, he is the most orginaized person in the world. Its a German thing. I'm trying to get that organized
