Randy G and Scott Lee Made Obsolete By A Computer

Copying abbreviated links from another post

Scaramouche:

You apparently copied these links from another post, into this one, because the links shown above were abbreviated for screensize constraints, and when you copied them into this post, instead of copying the underlying [full] link, the abbreviated link got copied in, which goes nowhere.

For example, when you copied and pasted the link, *this* (not the true link) got copied here:

http://www.terrygriffithsmatchroom.c...hosulldraw.swf

(Notice the "..." abbreviation part in the middle of the link. The vBulletin software does that when you initially copy-in a long link in the original post, but keeps the underlying link intact. But, if you later copy/paste that link from the first post into a subsequent post, the abbreviated link -- not the underlying correct one -- goes to your clipboard instead, and naturally this link would go nowhere due to the mangling that the abbreviation process did.)

You might want to edit your post, and copy-in the correct links (without the "..." characters in the middle of them).

Until you do, Scott Lee's and Randy G's job is safe. :D

Hope this is helpful,
-Sean

Viedo analysis is just one part of pool school. It's the evaluation, and follow up to address any issues discovered during the analysis that actually benefit the student. Video analysis is a tool. Scott and Randy are master craftsmen. I don't think they will be in the unemployment line any time soon.

Agreed... this is similar software that is used by many golf instructors. This technology is a teaching aid, but will by no means replace the instructors.

Worminator...Absolutely! Knowing what you're doing "right" or "wrong" can be eye-opening, but knowing how to correct those flaws is the real key to solid improvement. Until the computer can talk back to you, and answer questions, I think our jobs are safe! LMAO :grin-square:

Much better! Now, if Scott Lee and Randy G taught snooker technique instead of pool technique, would they be in better stead with you? :p

Randy G didn't try to change my snooker tendencies:D:D:D

But he does try to break pool players of their elbow drop.:D:D:D

Good mechanics are good mechanics for both pool and snooker.

Scaramouche...We do not try to "break" poolplayers of their elbow drop. We merely point out that they can be more accurate and repeatable without one. We never insist on any changes. Students choose to make their own changes...and they choose the changes that they make.

Hey Scott...how ya doing from Va.

Was just curious...I see in your listing it has you as a BCA Instructor...what is the diffrence between your current level of instructor and a Master Instructor? just curious

Tony...Currently at Advanced Level. I will be upgraded to Master instructor in a few months. BTW, I'll be in Richmond on 3/23. If you're interested in getting together, give me a call. Lots of cool new things to learn!
