Do the butt and both shafts roll perfectly straight together and apart?

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the purpose of the picture with the bumper removed? I've seen images of an RM cue where there is an RM logo inside the end of the shaft, but your image doesn't show anything like that.

I did not buy directly from Randy, and I took the rubber off the butt just to take the picture to see the back end of the cue , no reason.
