Ranking the Pool News Groups

A number of people that post on AZ also post on other pool news groups, or have posted elsewhere and eventually settled here. In your opinion, how would you rank the following NG's from top to bottom? What are your reasons for #1 to be ranked at that spot and what were the reasons for the bottom one to be picked last?

1. AZ Billiards forum

2. Billiards Digest forum

3. Inside Pool forum

4. Pool Players Paradise forum

5. Rec. Sport Billiard
 
I only visit AZ. I used to post a little on BD but didn't like it much. I stick with AZ because I like the format and right now like it even better since Mike as moved it onto a bigger faster server. Another reason is I just don't have time to go anywhere else either. Between playing pool and then surfing AZ, I catch Hell from my family for not spending enough time with them.
 
This is a forum, not a news group. The best one I might add. Only other forum I visit is matchroomsportforums.com.

The only pool news group is alt.sport.pool. Stupid. Newsgroup rec. sport.billiard covers all cuesports...although 90% of discussion is about pool.
 
I mostly post on Az nowadays. I used to be quite active in rsb but in one stage in the past it turned into a newsgroup with people trashing each other. I think best threads were more than 500 posts, and all of them were insults. It turned into a war zone. Sometimes someone tried to make a good thread with informative subject, but it often went awry when the trashing people continued posting. Maybe I should rejoin and check the situation there.

I also post at matchroomsport.com forum, but not much... So far Az has been very good forum and very little garbage posts. I hope it stays that way. The problem with rsb was the lack of moderators, I think.

I also post at Finnish Billiard Federation website forum it I guess it doesn't help many people here because it's in Finnish :-)
 
I read BD a lot mostly because I know most of the people there and you can get just about any question answered.

This is a great forum too. Mike does a great job.

I check out matchroom sports forum sometimes. It's very interesting to read the posts from around the world. And there's always a good "Earl is an a-hole" thread going over there :D

r.s.b is a newsgroup, the best way is to find out how to use a news reader with your ISP to read the posts.. but if you can't get that working, you can always read them on www.google.com if you click on the "groups" tab.
