Rare Scruggs Hoppe

Don’t know just how rare it is, but I know there aren’t many like this floating around. I would wager this cue is 100% MC made. I plan on it being my player. Just unboxed it and about to see how she plays, but wanted to share a few pics. I am getting lucky with some finds lately. I am blessed. Enjoy the pics.

Not any one thing. It is all of it. The diamonds in the collars. How the points are done. I know Mikes handywork when I see it.

FF radial. Personally, I believe the ivory radial joint is the best playing setup that they did. 5/16-14 steel is a close 2nd.

Not saying a hoppe is rare. Actually, pretty common. But one with an ebony nose with amboyna burl and inlays in the collars are pretty rare.

Nah, if you want an ugly cue there's a Klein that should be on the market soon with an extra shaft from something else.

Not saying a hoppe is rare. Actually, pretty common. But one with an ebony nose with amboyna burl and inlays in the collars are pretty rare.

I'll agree that amboyna is rare for scruggs. But then, the majority of Scruggs Cues made (not from old catalogs) are unique and therefore could be considered rare.

Regardless, great looking cue you picked up. I'm sure you will have many hours of enjoyment playing with it.
