It was my good fortune to be in Dean's initial cue project with Jerry Rauenzahn, "Bushka Cues".

So when Dean announced there would be a Bushka II Project, I was the first person to sign up.

This is the first cue from the Bushka II project & I am anxious to see the other Bushka II designs.

p.s. In case anyone is curious, the cue specs are 18.5 ozs ./ 12.75 mm shafts / Kamui Clear Black Tips (soft) / Cortland #9 Wrap.

Fantastic Matt. Congrats on another fine Jerry Rauenzahn cue. Looks perfect to me sir. Very attractive design. Just get it today?

Actually no, Bob, Jerry shipped today and the cue arrives tomorrow via USPS 24 hr delivery (coast to coast coverage).

The ironic part is I was counting on my surgeon, whom I saw on Wednesday, to approve resuming pool play again. His verdict was not yet.
Perhaps by mid-June & definitely by mid-July when I resume physical therapy for strengthening my shoulder.......but not at this time, at least for another month.

Needless to say, a little frustrating with this cue arriving tomorrow.....it's basically just artwork until I can play pool again. The cue from Bob is almost done and
it should arrive in a week or so.....I have lots of offers to break the cues in while I am on hiatus but I think I'm going to reserve the test drive for myself.

Nice! Really really nice! Love these -R- Bushka cues and I hear they play fantastic.

Usually super fancy cues don't hit very well.

How does it hit?

I Dunno......Not Here Yet.....But Based Upon My Other Jerry R. Cue....

Dom.....I can vouch for the last custom cue Jerry made me in the spring of 2015..Some have found fault with the design but I liked how it turned out because it has a hit that competes with all of my other cues. I was rotating that cue in and out pretty regularly with my other cues up until surgery this past February. I found the hit to not be that firm but instead a solid and softer hit.....the acoustics of the ivory ferrules is truly the best of all my cues.

I would love to be able to report back how the cue plays after it reaches me which is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Unfortunately, my surgeon put the kabash on playing pool and so the cue will remain unplayed for at least another month and maybe even longer. The only calendar outlook my surgeon offered was I'd definitely be okay to resume pool by mid-July and maybe mid-June when I have a follow-up visit.

What a winner that cue is.

I consider that super fancy. That is all one needs.

5 rings, including the shafts, yikes.

I don't know if my JMW counts as "super fancy" but it hit's amazingly well. It's the middle cue and is my main player!

Leon....reading your post has added meaning for me......I'm a big admirer of your cue designs for awhile
and since you have a cue-maker's keen eye for designs, your opinion reflects your cue-making expertise.

Thanks,

Matt B.

Matt, the cue looks great. I know Jerry makes a great hitting get cue. A buddy of mine had one about 8 years ago & it was wonderful. Always wished I ordered one from Jerry. Have 4 projects going on at the moment, so maybe after.
