RC3 veneer question

I am thinking of having a thuya burl with ebony 6 point cue built I cannot decide if I want veneers around the points or not. This cue is very similar to what I want but I would want traditional inner / outer thin veneers on both sides.

I cannot tell if the inner veneer in this attached picture is white, light gray or natural maple. Can anyone tell or does someone know RC3's build style and know what he usually uses here?

The veneers look white to me. You can see both sides to know what it would look like with out without veneers.

Veneers on this cue are white/black/white/black. Chudy was known for his one-sided veneers, which is his basic cue design. I don't think he ever did a cue with 4 wood veneers on each side, most of his fancier cues have beautiful designs in the points, or a single silver veneer, but not the traditional 4x4 design.
