Heard disturbing but unconfirmed news regarding Mike Templeton today. It was told that he hit a deer while riding his motorcycle and the accident was fatal. Mike was a nice guy and a heck of a pool player who lived for awhile here in Chattanooga. Can anyone confirm whether this is true or not?

Didn't know the fellow but sorry to hear of a fellow rider and pool player losing their life, RIP.

I also read on Facebook from those who live in his area that he has passed away, but I did not read about him riding a motorcycle and hitting a deer. If I find out more details, I will pass it on.

Mike used to be a regular on AzBilliards Discussion Forum and contributed a lot to the colloquy back and forth about various pool events and happenings. May he rest in eternal peace. This is Mike in the green-and-white shirt, shown with Shannon, Marty Free, and Mort Walston, owner of Slate Billiards.

I also read Jason Chance, childhood friend of Scott Frost who created the original Freezer's in Arizona, passed away. He was a friend to many a pool player and always had a jovial spirit. He was president of Diamond Oil and helped sponsor pool happenings from time to time. His passing was a shock to those who knew him. He was 52 years young. A regular and employee at Drexeline Billiards in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania , Tom Boyd also passed away. I remember seeing Tom there behind the counter. He was a quiet, unassuming-type personality, and he loved pool.

Thank you for sharing these. Some here know them others may not. Pool has lost so many good people.

Wow, Jason Chance is gone, too.

He's so young. He could play, man, he could play.

I don't know what to think or say about that.

I hate to think that Mike is gone. I haven't heard anything from him on Facebook in quite a while. Hope someone will verify this.

I met Mike somewhere in North Carolina maybe 12 years ago. We had chatted a few times on here and kinda became friends. One time a year or two later I think his daughter posted on his account asking if anyone could send him some money because he was in some kind of trouble (medical issues maybe). My wife and I sent her some cash and I never heard from either one of them again. It was quite strange. Sad to hear he passed away, seemed like a good human.

I liked his posts here but never had the chance to meet him in person.

Sorry to hear he passed.

it would be nice to have a forum pages that people could put a picture and tell of a players passing. maybe in alphabetical order.
with the date, his age, and where he was from and maybe something about his playing.
too many of our players from the past get forgotten.
