Recommend a tip for a 11.75mm Z2 shaft

you know from what i hear kamui's tend to be harder on the scale. meaning mediums play like hards. what do you think how does the kamui soft play compared to a new elkmaster (by new i mean not broken in)?

No clue about the kamui soft, I just see a lot of people like kamuis better than moori on here, and he said he liked playing with a moori soft. I am having a new cue coming in soon with a kamui soft on it, so after I test that out, I can give you a better response lol

I have a first generation Z with a Triangle tip and a Z2 with a Sniper tip. Although the 314-2 I use on my main playing cue has a Triangle (and I love this setup), I prefer the Sniper tip on the Z shaft. Nice hit and moves the cue ball around very well. Of course, I haven't done extensive research on tip/setup on the Z shaft, but nonetheless I have given you my opinion on what little I do know. Hope it helps and good luck on your choice as the possibilities these days are endless!!!

The original Everest that came on my OB-2 delaminated on me, so I replaced it with one of Mueller's Dudleys this week. I have only played a few racks with it, but so far so good. I should have time to really break it in over the weekend, so I'll report back how it compares with the Everest on a OB-2.

I was able to play for about 3 or 4 hours over the weekend, and I'm really liking the Dudley tip. It plays very similar to the Everest, maybe just a tad softer, and so far hasn't mushroomed at all (and I did the tip install myself). Did I mention it really grabs the CB great and holds chalk like a sponge? They are much firmer than the standard Elkmaster, I have tried those and didn't like them at all. The best part is, I paid less than $2 for a 3-pack. I don't mind paying good money for a good layered tip, but I hate it when they delaminate (and I can't install them myself). If this tip performs the same (which it has so far) and holds up over time I may switch for good.

I just put a Dudley on my z2 also and it feels great. It had a Moori med on there before and I like the feel of the dudley much better. It hits with a very nice crisp feel and sound, but doesnt really feel hard. This is the first non layered tip I have put on in years and I love it. Also, you cant beat the price.

I would try out the stock everest tip first though. I had one on my ob1 and didnt have any complaints about it at all. Held its shape better than most layered tips and seemed to be a nice compliment to the shaft.
