it was not my intent to offend you in any way
if i did i apologize

your reputation, ethics, philosophy on life, skill as a cuemaker is exemplary

you should definitely continue to pass on your knowledge to those who seek it

i beleive i also owe an apology to the op and the posters for getting mike upset
i hope you can accept my apology
im sorry it happened and i have deleted my post

Was watching many of the cue repair men at SBE. Larry Nevel does top work, but so does anyone who has been in business. Find someone in your area and save on shipping or if possible attend a show or something such as the SBE. You will be able to see their work and save a few dollars. Actually I don't know about saving a few dollars as it will cost a lot to go the the SBE but the experience is worth it. They are all in the same price range of $100 $125 for leather. Real exotic skins are more, be careful that you don't get a leather wrap that is printed to look like lizard if you want real lizard.

Ryan-i sent you an email, thanks.

Chris, Mike-thanks for the advice. can i seek your help on something else? if, just if, i manage to somehow convince the wife that i can put a basic lathe in my house, what would you recommend i get? i only need to do a few things: change wraps, tips, ferrules, sand shafts, change tapers etc. all the basic repair stuff. Mike, then i can seek your advice on how not to destroy some of my cues :p the problem will be getting to ship it to Singapore!

Jive-sure, lets aim for 10th. my baby's doing well thanks, just recovered yesterday :)

Brickcues-thanks for the info, how much did it cost you?

The Mid Size Cue Smith is what I would suggest. Yes shipping will be most likely about half the cost of the machine.
