Hmm... OK. I'll stretch it to $700. Definitely not past that. Sounds like I might have to look at other cue companies?I don’t think your going to get a new predator cue for the $600 range. A sneaky Pete with a radial joint and a 314-3 shaft is $774. That is a great playing cue.
You should be able to find a used predator for around $600.
Thank you.If i was looking at the 600 usd range i would consider the mezz ec7 series. On sale at they site. You can get an upgraded shaft and be at 600.

EC7 Series
These cues highlight the natural beauty of exotic woods such as Birdseye Maple, Purple Heart, Cocobolo, Bocote, Wenge and others. The EC7 Series features the Mezz original precise "United" Joint and the high performance low deflection "WX700" shaft. With 24 models to choose from, you're sure...mezzusa.com
600 would get you a used predator if you can find one. As per the post above.
Thanks. As mentioned before, you won't find a new Predator at that price, but you have many options. In no particular order:
1. buy used
2. Mezz (but you'll have a proprietary joint)
3. Predator's Aspire series (Cuetec has a similar line called the Avid)
4. a Bull carbon cue will get you a plain butt & very nice CF shaft for under $600
5. something from PureX or Lucasi would still be LD & more cost-effective
Wow, you don't waste any time huh lol? There are a lot of people like you that despise research though. You went from "the option I had in mind is now off the table and now I have to look at the whole market from scratch" to "well my order is in and already paid for" in a whopping 45 minutes, literally. This is just so foreign to me, still has me shocked.I went with the Mezz EC-7 Bocote, and the Hybrid Pro II shaft.![]()
$700? Still a MezzHmm... OK. I'll stretch it to $700. Definitely not past that. Sounds like I might have to look at other cue companies?![]()
LOL. There's so many options now, that it's hard to research every single cue. The Mezz recommendations sounded good, and the sale prices got me.Wow, you don't waste any time huh lol? I'll still take recommendations. Two cues for less than the price of a high end Predator cue. Thanks.Take a look at cheapcues.com, you can buy a cheap Joss101 with a good joint and upgrade to predator 314-3 shaft for $383.
BTW. when I say cheap Joss, those are good cues and even the cheap one plays like the expensive fancy ones.
Oops, you bought a cue.
My second recommendation is also a Mezz…Power Break KaiI'll still take recommendations. Two cues for less than the price of a high end Predator cue. Thanks.
The Mezz you bought has united joint, it is same pin as the Joss 5/16 X 14. So, if you like the Mezz butt, there is no point getting the Joss butt.I'll still take recommendations. Two cues for less than the price of a high end Predator cue. Thanks.
It was only 4 years ago that a Z2 was $250±Take a look at cheapcues.com, you can buy a cheap Joss101 with a good joint and upgrade to predator 314-3 shaft for $383.

Z3 runs 289 to 310 by itself, my reported price was with a butt. I think they added 50$ from the start. It was only 4 years ago that a Z2 was $250±
Has there really been 50% inflation since then ?
