Recommendations on a Predator Cue $600 Max?

I went with the Mezz EC-7 Bocote, and the Hybrid Pro II shaft.

That is a nice cue. Not fancy enough to draw a lot of attention, but definitely a cue anyone can play with. Good choice.

You can always get the Darth Vader Ignite later if you think you need to. The HP2 is a great shaft. All you'll ever need really.

When you screw that Mezz together with their United joint it will lock up tight like a one piece cue. I have a few other cues with a 5/16X14 pin and they don't compete. I don't mess around trying to swap shafts and stick with Mezz. I figure just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

I've yet to see one that wasn't flawlessly made. Very high QC at Mezz.

I'd suggest going a buying a Cuetec Cynergy or buying a Cuetec AVID and adding a Cynergy Shaft. So much more value for the money, and they play better IMHO.

Predator just released a new line called the Aspire. Starts at $369 full retail price. 10 cues in the series. The Aspire-1 is the cheapest and looks super sharp to me. The shaft is one piece, instead of a radial lamination like the 314. The front end is hollow, like the 314. It should probably play about the same squirt wise.

If you find one, a P3 butt with 314_2 shaft go near that price...or some LE4 series with 314-3 or Z3 shaft also.
There is a facebook group about predator cues market, search for it, there is always someone selling.
