Recommendations on Practice

the Game starts playing "through" the player.....it's also called "Dead Stroke"!

Thanks CJ - I'll probably be in the 3 weeks category. I'll practice it until right after thanksgiving then ask for new punishment :) also plan on incorporating the 9 ball drill and straight pool as people have recommended.

Glad I could help, it's refreshing to see someone like yourself that really wants to put in the work to see results. There's no short cut better than practicing the correct fundamentals in the proper order.....there's some drills that I've incorporated that save hours in practice time......that way I can use my time to play rather than hit ball around.....as a result I played a tournament last night and got to the finals with few errors, and no missed balls.

Once someone is ready to do the rail drills and straight pool they can expect to see a dramatic increase in their game's potential......they will start to tap into the source of the teaching.....the game it's self. It's all about making daily progress and this requires a strong, foundation built around a pre-shot routine that allows the players to "make the shot" before they get down on the cue ball....this is when the Game starts playing "through" the player.....it's also called "Dead Stroke"!

You're on your way, H., once you master the rail shots you'll be amazed at what happens.

'The Game is Our Teacher'

Play Well, H.

I am dedicated to becoming a better player. I know I'll never be great but just want to be better than I am since I put a lot of time and effort into it. I already learned something in 1 night of practicing a few times. I always used low draw to hit a ball down the rail(when there is a angle to both) when I wanted to draw the cue ball back. Found out last night I could just hit the ball around center ball with a little tip offset toward the rail and it would naturally come back. Call me slow but I never realized that before and it makes my shape much easier and predictable. Who knows how much more I'll learn as I continue this.
