So, here's my deal. I am interested in 14.1 and have started to practice it routinely. However, I am aware that I will not progress further without some study. I've read nothing so far and only possess one dvd about the game (Schmidt's how I run 100's). Can anyone recommend any books or good dvd's (including accustats matches)? Thanks in advance.

watch all the accu stats 14.1 tapes you can get, there are a lot of them and you learn sooo much of it. I truely hope you are another one that develops deep love for this wonderful game ! Keep it up, it will help you with all other games....

You can´t go wrong if you watch Schmidt,Sigel,Rempe,Mizerak,Ortmann,Hohmann,Matthews.....

I'm already smitten (don't tell the wife that I've got a second love though :)). Now I just need to break my high run of 39...

Accustats are GREAT with good commentary!

For your first book, Id recommend Cranfields Straight Pool Bible

http://www.amazon.com/Straight-Pool-Bible-Instruction-Cranfield/dp/158574025X

Easy read with a ton of good information.

Play your best straight pool is another great read.

99 Critical Shots is another that I would rank high.

These forums contain some links to player lessons that BlackJack had done for them and they were kind enough to post for us to watch. These are well done and very informative.

Welcome to the greatest game played with six pockets :)
