Recommended proshop in metro Detroit

I'm looking for a reputable place in the metro-Detroit area to have a couple cues re-tipped. I've heard good and bad about "Stix" in Waterford (very close to home). Would appreciate any input.

I've got some new Tom Hay ultraskins that I want to try out and will likely go through several tips while I figure out which ones I like best on each cue.

Hi my name is John. I do all the cue repairs at stix. If you want you can contact me i can do the repairs and if youve heard bad things about my work im sorry to hear that but i could also recomend a list of people to do the repair. Just pm me and ill send my number.
 
Hey John. Thanks for the reply. Everyone's got an opinion and, for what it's worth, it was one guy (I don't know him) who I've seen at Sharks several times, who shook his head "no" when I mentioned your place.

Interestingly, I was there again last night and asked another guy who seemed to be a decent player (guy had a red/white/blue American Flag style hard case for his cues) who spoke very highly of your work. So, you were going to get a call and my business anyway. :)
 
Johnny does my work sometimes when I am close to him. When I can't get all the way out to him I go to Mike Pancerny. Dave Hanshaw is almost out as far as Johnny at Stix. Another guy is Randy from Motor City Cue Repair in Royal Oak or somewhere near there. They all do good work and all of them stand by their work so I don't see how you could go wrong with any of them.
