The Legends and Champions Pool Tour are pleased to announce that they are heading back to Lincoln, Nebraska for the weekend of July 13th, 14th and 15th for another fun and exciting weekend of Professional Pool. The stars of this event will be Johnny (The Scorpion) Archer and Rodney (The Rocket) Morris. The Last event that was held at Drifters Pool Room in Lincoln, Ne was the "Bad Blood" event. This time the event will be more patriotic and has been named the "Red, White and Blue Blood" Challenge. "Since both Players are regular fixtures at the Mosconi Cup representing Team USA this seemed like the right choice of names." said Mark Cantrill of the Legends and Champions Pool Tour. However the format for this event will be a little different from the "Bad Blood" Event. Red, White and Blue Blood will be a more rounded and fun event that will have a little something for everyone. Not only will The Rocket and the Scorpion be going head to head on Saturday July 14th in a series of three sets that will include 8-Ball race to 15, 9-Ball race to 15 and 14.1 race to 150 but there will also be a VIP dinner and cocktail reception on Friday night that will be followed by Friday night fun. A Q & A Session, raffle, scotch doubles with the Pros, some fun stories and more. Sunday the 15th there will be a seminar that will cover 8-Ball, 1 pocket and an open forum for any other questions thar attendees may have on any other game or shot.
This will will give everyone a chance to have fun and get to know these top American players in an intimate setting and also give the local pool enthusiasts a chance to see some top quality pro level matches and of course give people a chance to learn from two great champions. With any amount of luck we will be able to get a special appearance from Captain America himself Nick (The Kentucky Colonel) Varner who has captained Team USA more times than anyone. There will also be some givaways throught the weekend and since we are on the patriotic theme any member of our Armed Forced past or present will be allowed to attend the seminar on Sunday as our guest at no charge. For this we are just going to use the honors system, there is no need to show id or discharge papers. We just have to hope that everyone has as much honor as our servicemen and Women.
These events can't happen without the help and support of our sponsors so We would like to thank all of them starting with Drifters Pool Room who are always looking to do something exciting for the game of pool and none of this would happen without their constant support and willingness to work alongside us. The same can be said about all of our sponsors and people who just want to help and make things happen. Also AirArt 1 who are always there for us in so many ways, International Propeller company, The Lincoln Heights Hotel. I will be making a list of the other sponsors that are getting ready to come on board and giving them their due as we move along. This has just been finalized and packages to attend the event can be purchased by contacting Drifters Pool Room at 402-261-3617
