Redoing existing cue

This may seem like a stupid question but I was wondering if it is possible to take an existing cue and add certain parts to it? The cue is a sneaky pete but it has no joint collar or butt cap which I want to add and I would also like to add a hoppe style ivory ring to it. Is this something that is easily done and is it worth the money? Thanks

I had exactly what you want done to one of my SP's a while back, minus the ivory hoppe ring. Cost $60 and turned out GREAT!

Years ago there was a furniture reupholsterly company that advertised on TV showing a delapidated old couch and then showed a picture of it redone in a different style and fabric. All they were doing was selling a new couch. They would take your old couch and throw it away and then give you a new couch in the stlye and fabric that you picked out.

so watchout......if you send your cue to someone and they send you back a couch......youve been scammed

heh... don't think so. it was a good friend of mine that did it. not only did I watch half of it, it's kinda hard to hide the grain of the wood, especially where there is a dark spot, what I call the "birthmark"

well I think it would a little hard to send me back something other than the original only because of the markings on the cue, plus I was thinking about sending to the original cuemaker so I think it would be highly unlikely that they would want to switch one of their own cues

So, are you sending your cue back to Pete Omen?

No no not my Omen. I was thinking about getting a custom sneaky from someone but it didnt have a joint collar on it which I wanted one installed. Im not having my Omen redone but I will be selling it soon.
