redoing my GC3

Im Changing all my rails on my GC3.. But im not sure what rails to use.
Any help would be great..

Older or newer GC3...older uses the GC2 pocket casting hardware, newer uses a theaded insert mounted in the ends of the rails. Reason I ask is because the early first edition GC3's are not a direct change over to todays Brunswick K55 cusions, therefore require a sub-rail modification. ..but those that were so quick to mention the Brunswick K55 cushions wouldn't have known that...as they don't do that kind of work for a living;)

is there a way to know if it's an older GC3 or newer GC3 before you remove the rails?

Thanks

Mike

Yes, look at how the rails bolt up to the pocket castings, looking up from under the rails. If they bolt into a bent metal plate...older, bolt into a threaded insert in the ends of the rails....newer.

Thanks so much, they bolt into the threaded insert at the end of the rails....
that being said what rail do you recommend.. i dont know if this matters or not but they will get shimmed.

Brunswick Superspeed is great for a straight change over, they're the K55 profile
