Even if it is "too late to be great" (LOL, love the screen name) ;) If this is truly the case, I'm very happy to hear it!

Glad to hear it and happy that at least you guys can put this mess behind you and move on. Congrats. :)

I'm glad you all got paid in full, I really am, but this is another slap in the face to the players. They put on the show and are offered 33%.Johnnyt

for the hours we put in and the stress if we would have gotten a third of what we made it wouldn't have been worth the paper it was printed on.

I'm sure that goes for the players as well who all put in 12+ hour days under incredible pressure.

I am glad to hear you all got paid, in fact I was just wondering today if any of the support personnel received any payment.

Welcome to the forum. Better l8 than never, even if you can't be gr8 you can still be good :)

So are you a Ref or a ball and table cleaning girl?

I would be curious to hear your current feeling about the IPT and it's managment and owner?

Thank you in advance for your response.

Everyone involved with the event worked hard and everyone deserves full payment.

I was talking to Sally from InsidePOOL awhile back about the tournaments and for her it was a stressful grueling format. The players weren't the only ones that had it tough. The players played for 10 hrs a day but the refs, the media, and the IPT staff were working the whole time the players were playing.

:)

I was one of the referees. Iam very dissappointed that the IPT is a mess. I thought they came out of the gate to strong. I didn't think it was going to last with that kind of prize money at the start. I think it would have had a better shot if they would have started slower and been more in touch with the pool industry. They came out like the bullies on the block instead of working with everyone. I saw each event up close and behind the seens and was shocked at how unthought-out everything was. At the Venetian they didn't even think about the floor plan. In Reno Deno knew there was no rule about a foot on the floor and was hopeing people would catch on then tells everyone it was an oversight and changed the rule in the middle of the tournament, how unfair is that. One day a guy beats you because he can climb on the table to shoot the next day you lose because you can't. I so desperately wanted the IPT to suceed. Could've been great for all of pool.
