Has anyone ever had a cue refinish just go completely wrong? I am working on a high end carom cue. The ring work detached from the joint. I was going to drill and bore out the threads, create a phenolic tenon and reattach the ring work. The tap the joint. Well...The drill bit grabbed the piece and spun it before I could hit the power switch. The collet rubbed through the, what I suspect is a very thin, finish. There was some writing that is now half worn through.
