Refinishing a old cue

Hi, I am new to these forums and I am looking for some advice. I had bought this old Viking cue off of ebay last year for I think about $100.00.

And I emailed Viking about it and they told me it was a Z75 made from 1977-80, retailed for $75 and today could be worth up to $300 (mint). And to get it refinished would be $100 including new wrap.

What I was wondering is, if I would get it refinished would it affect the value of the cue?

IMO, less than 100.

You never know. You might just find a Viking collector, although I don't know of one.

The cue is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
