Probably a basic question

I have a 314-3 with a 3/8 X 11; an also a 314 with a 3/8 X10 .

Can they be converted to 5/16 X 14 pilotted.

Not worried about the warranty; just want to use either one of these on a Tasc I just got.

Also, if it can be done-approx cost.

Thanks for any input

Dave

Yes they can. The brass inserts are .390" so you can simply bore out the threads, ream and tap the hole with a 7/16-20 tap and install the insert.

Thanks

Sounds relatively simple-for someone with the skill.

Thanks again

It is pretty routine for a competent repair person. I recommend that you if you don't know the repair person, actually look at the persons previous repairs before handing them your shafts.
I am in Mass, so not to far from you if you cannot get someone closer to do it. PM me if you don't find anyone closer

I would check the size of the cue's joint in comparison to the shafts first. .010 difference makes for a pretty ugly fit. That can be fixed too but complicates things a bit if it needs to be.
