Regarding "WheatCues" Customer's Orders !

Hello Everyone !

I want to let all of you know what is going on publically so none of you feel like the "odd-man-out"

As most of you already know, I have had some problems with my current shaftwood inventory not being properly aged prior to my cutting and finishing.. therefore this had caused unavoidable delays to my current customer's orders...

This issue is without compromise, if I rush it, I can guarantee you warpage down the road... and my quality of work is more important to me than the $$$

I except 100% of the blame, because I let myself get really low on shaftwood inventory, that I had hanging for 1 to 2 yrs before I went maintream, then I took for granted that the new shaftstock was from the same source and of course that's what I get for assuming, and as alot of you already know, you need to hang the wood for atleast 7-8 months before it's cured enough to consider ready!!!

Anyways, I am nearing finished the finish line with some of the orders, and are within a few to several weeks with others...I appreciate your understanding and patience regarding this embarassing predictament !

Even with the unavoidable delays I'm still way ahead of the rest of the cuemakers on here, as far as how long it takes to get you your cue from the time of order, from what I have seen and heard...

I just wanted to let you know that if anyone who has ordered a cue from me in the last 30-45 days that finds this to be an unacceptable delay, then I will have no choice but to refund your deposit...

Of course I hope it doesnt come to a refund, because of my low prices there's not much of a profit margin and most of the revenue is being reinvested in materials, in order to give all of you quality work at a great price and to solidify myself in this wonderful industry... In other words: I DON'T take much of a paycheck !!!

Anyways, I just wanted to reassure my customers that all is well and I will be sending you progress pics of your cues as soon as I'm at the designated photograph stages...

In closing.... This was just a polite notice to all my customers, and not intended as a topical discussion... I'm asking those of you nicely who don't like or approve you me, to completely disregard this bulletin and refrain from exploiting my efforts.. this post is intended for my customers only !

Thanks again for the overwhelmng response and acceptance of my cuemaking and the orders I have received because of it !

Sincerely, Eddie Wheat (WheatCues) 321-631-1827

I Hate To Get Him Started

There are FIVE other Forums here that are specifically for cues and cuemakers. Why do you find it necessary to post you news here instead of there ? I notice that the last two attention seeking threads about you and your cues have been posted here and neither one in a cue related Forum.

I actually don't have a problem with Eddie personally. It's just that there are Forums here to Buy cues, Sell cues, discuss cue machinery, display you cues, ask cuemakers a question, tout cuemakers, etc.

In this thread http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=95389 they are compiling a list of cuemakers. I think that the last time that we did this, we came up with about 300 names.

Fortunately, the bulk of AZB cuemakers sell and discuss their wares in the cue Forums, but Eddie has decided to circumvent the cue sections and make the Main Forum his own personal 'honey hole' for catching cutomers.

He could just as easily have e-mailed, PMed, called on the phone or posted in a CUE Forum about his latest problem, but he once again decided to notify his hundreds of AZB customers in THIS forum.

( I have my popcorn at the ready also, Dale. I'm expecting drunk Eddie ) :)

What is the problem with using THIS forum? There are plenty of varied topics on the main forum. This is just another topic.

Haven't other cuemakers done the same thing of late ??? One positive. You don't have to travel as far to get their attention.

Eddie, First Class Thing To Do Bud. My dad actually has a meeting with the Re-location people Today. June-ish, I expect something to happen. I can't Wait to Come down and Place an order in person.

I'm sure this is just one method you are using to get the word out to your customers, and I don't see a problem with it. Hope this bump helps.
