Removing Power Wraps

I hate these rubber power wraps.
What are some good ideas to remove these pieces of junk? ;-)

I use a heat gun set to about 600, and a putty knife to scrape the bulk of it, then acetome with a rag for the adhesive left behind, And yes it's a Fkn mess. Hate doing them

Going to have to do a stack leather because the channel is too deep.

You can put yard on it and then export to fill the void and then leather or linen.

Those are so much fun. I used acetone and a ton of scraping then built the wrap groove back up with a wood veneer and recut the groove for stack leather.

Most all of those rubber wraps look like crap after a year or so. Some of them look like they are melting.
