Replace handle?

I would like to replace the handle on my Mezz cue. I like the look of macassar ebony, I have seen some really nice segmented handles I might consider getting inspiration from. I'd like to add 1" to the cue via the handle. Is this something that can be done?

Who do I turn to?

Mezz Cues are not real cheap so it might be worth replacing the handle. It is definitely something that can be done. If you really like the feel of the Mezz cue and have a few hundred to spend on it, I would say go for it.

handle replacement

you mentioned ebony, have you thought about the weight difference? i think it would change the balance a little and make the cue feel different, coring it would be the way to go.

Coring would be the way to go. I understand the balance will shift a bit. I do not like my cues light. It would probably just mean I would remove or use a lighter weight bolt.

If you add 1" in to the handle length the butt sleeve will be too small. The taper would have to be recut somewhere.
