replacement rails

I need to replace my dead rails. It's driving me nuts. The problem is that my table is an odd size. It's an old FW table and I think its around 7.5 feet because it's bigger than a bar box but not quite an 8 footer. My first question would be from what point to what point do I measure to get the size of the table. And then, assuming it's a 7.5 ft table, is it possible to get replacement rails for an odd table size like that? Where would I go about looking? Will it be expensive? I only paid 300 for the table in the first place.

new cushions

Replacing your own cushions can be a bit challenging but not impossible. On each rail there are three dots or diamonds. ON CENTER measure from one to the next closest. 11" = 8', 12 1/2" = 9', 10 1/2 = 7'. Nose to nose on the cushions measures 44"x88" = 8', 50"x100" = 9', 39"x72" = 7'. Different tables can have different cushion profiles. Yours could have k66 cushions or u23 cushions, definitely not k55. See link below

Wholesale cushions are aprox. $25-$30 per set of six. I STRONGLY suggest doing all six at once. If you replace one or two and a month later another one or two go bad...etc, etc, etc. Cost of professional installation should be around$175-$300 depending on the market in your area.

I answered you in the main section but here's some added notes.
Pricewise figure $100 for a good set of cushions, facings and adhesive delivered.
You could buy some of those cheapass cushions but you get what you pay for.
You'll probably need a new set of rail cloth also as the old cloth is usually not salvageable.

I have a question for all you mechanical junkies there (and let's see if you all can get this one for my sake [NO, not Sake', don't even dream of it]). In the future, I am going to consider making a 4x8 foot Japan cut carom table for the Yostudama balls (which are 65.5mm in diameter). What specifications should I have the cushion height from and what cushions should I require for this? I will really appreciate information given.

65.5mm = 2.58" and 63% X 2.58" = 1.63" rail nose height.
I would think the standard rail height formula would apply.
Artemis P37 is probably the best carom cushion rubber but good luck finding it in the US.
