Good or bad, I would like to know.

Have my UltraSkin and SIB Layered Cue Tips been Consistent in performance?

Are my delivery times from order been acceptable?

If you are a Cue Maker or Cue Repair Person have your customers been satisfied? If not please explain.

If you have used or put on both and satisfied do you see a better future with the UltraSkin or SIB Layered?

Are you happy with my replies while communicating?

Is there anything I can do to make you more satisfied?

Thank you for any time given on this thread,

Tom

Tom, these are great tips for the price. I think they machine better than the Ultraskin Pro and they definitely hold shape better. I have had a few people tell me the get a little "glassy" and require a little more scuffing. I simply don't think they can be beat for the price. I've been playing this tip for about two months personally and I love it.

The Ultraskins Med and Hard are the only two layered tips I like. Don't like Moori...Kamui...Tiger...and a couple of others that escape me at the moment. Really like the Ultraskins. My one gripe is they glaze over easily, no matter what I do. It's not a big deal, but I've gotten in the habit of taking my scuffer out of the case along with my chalk. I guess that's not much different than many other layered tips. I've installed a couple of dozen of them now, and they all seem to be very consistent.

For the sake of full disclosure, I've recently switched back to Le Pro tips, but I still have some shafts with US tips on them. I switch back and forth. Nice tip.

Hey Tom, I've been using a ultraskin hard tip for several months of almost daily play. I like the feel of the hit and they hold chalk well. They do start glazing when they start wearing down into the glue layers but no more than any other layred tip I've tried. The one thing that could be improved on is that they tend to mushroom a bit. I've had to trim up and re-burnish them a couple of times the first month or two before they starter to hold they're shape, (haven't had this issue with other hard tips). Overall a good tip for a great price!

I had some Blackwell or Blackburn guy install an Ultra Skin of me at this year's US open, can't remember if it was a hard or med, had a small mushroom, but still played great, got rid of the mushroom and still plays great.

Also for the record, I have yet to scuff the tip, nor has it lost its shape playing 15 hours a week non stop since it was installed.

Price for a quality tip cant be beat. I'm currently using the pro soft. I usually play the medium. The tips seem a bit "dry" is the only way I can describe it. They hold their shape well, easy to shape, hit consistently, takes roughing up the top well. Thumbs up in my book. The only other thing is that it doesn't seem to take the burnishing of the sides well. I don't get that gleam I get from other tips. We'll see if this happens when its time to try out the soft tip.

I can't get a burnish neither, but that has not affected my game at all.

To this date, the SIB Pro is the best tip I have ever played with. And I have played with MANY..... After reading all the hype on those Searing tips, I installed a Precision Med. today and shot a little..... So far its ok, but haven't really shot with it enough to feel I would change....Going to try a Hard tomorrow...... The SIB Pro is just a great feeling, great sounding, chalk holding, tip......... I love it........

As far as the price, service and delivery time I give you 5 stars! I have installed many of the ultra skins for my customers and only a couple of the SIB tips so far as I just got them from you a week ago, so far my feedback is all positive on the SIB tips and pretty much the same for the ultraskins, no major complaints at this price point. Thanks kj

I must have installed at least 50 UltraSkin tips of various hardness for myself and others... No complaints what so ever; actually, anyone that has tried them asks for them again even if they want to try harder or softer.

I personally started with the soft, went to and settled on mediums for well over a year.
I recently switched to the Pro (soft) due to using Revo shafts.

Do they glaze - Sure they do, but no more than others and less than some.
I remind my friends and customers to look for adhesion when chalking and scuff as needed.

Consistency - From tip to tip they are as consistent as anything else I have used and more so than others.
I did have one soft tip play/hit more like a medium; enough so that I replaced it before letting it out. Considering the tip price, I had no reservations or complaints considering how many I have installed.

Performance - I install and use them myself, I am not a pro (nor did I sleep at a Holiday Inn) but I play in 3 leagues nights a week (BCA and 7/9 in APA), and ample drills hours at home.
I can opt for what ever tip I want and I have certainly tried most everything out there over the last 30 years. I choose the Ultraskin for a layered tip and a compressed (half height)Triangle if I opt for a standard tip.

I currently have a decent mixed supply of UltraSkins, but I haven't tried any of the SIBs yet.
From the customer stand point, the black Ultraskin tips are a hit; but I would like some information on the SIBs as far as comparisons.
Did you actually reach the illusive goal of the original Morri? Worth a try just to find out.

Hey, Tom.
I've still got a lot of time left on my UltraSkin medium, but when it's done I certainly want to try an SIB.
Back in the day I installed many hundreds of tips, and if there is one characteristic about a tip that I feel is worth commenting on it has to be reliability. A good tip should, and must, perform without the slightest bit of concern from the player.
Your tips do that. :)

The players loved the ultaskins.. now that they try the SIB tips they say it's like hitting the sweet spot on a baseball bat everytime.

Thanks tom.

Tom, as you know, I just made another order, that should bring me up to around 100 of your tips.

My first order was 30 tips for two reasons, first and foremost was the simple fact that I was getting many requests for them, second was I wanted to try each one so I ordered 5 each (before the new models, I will be trying them this week.)

The order was shipped immediately, you and Chris Hightower deserve credit as best I have seen this year in this category, Thanks.

The first thing I did was contact my best players, people who have paid me time and time again for the Kamui tips. I asked that they give me their best opinion, I wish you could hear them speak but I will give it briefly.

At their Pool Hall, they invited all of their Friends with the best tips and best cues to put them thru some tests.

In a nutsack, they have never purchased another kamui from me, they love your tips, my opinion means nothing, only the opinion of my customers. I will always have people who like the kamuis and will not switch, I respect that opinion just as much.

I used to put mostly Le Pro tips on as my standard tip, now it's over 90% Ultraskin. At this point, I foresee a minimum of 200 tips each year, with 100 tips in the last few months, you know what I mean.

Tom, keep up the great work, one of these orders I will call and order in person just to say hello to the future Legend.

Thanks so much, Dave.

One other thing I'll add is that price means nothing to me when selecting a tip. Compared to everything else in the world, $20 for a tip every few months is pretty meaningless, and I do my own work so it costs me zippo to install it. The fact that the tips are inexpensive is just icing on the cake. I choose the tip because it's the layered tip I like best, period. I'll admit I haven't tried every layered tip out there, especially the other inexpensive tips on the market, but there's really no reason to since I found what I like.

Looking forward to trying the SIB tips when I get around to it.

I repair cues for the local league players. I do it as a hobby on the side and I have had nothing but great response with the Ultraskin tips. I've recently purchased some of the SIB medium to see how they play. In my opinion these are even better at holding shape and chalk. They seem to machine and burnish better too. Keep up the great work. And thank you for offering a great product at a great cost for us.

US Hard on a Schmelke sneaky..................

Had my buddy and fellow Az'r Duane R. put a US hard on my new Schmelke sp. WOW!!! I thought the cue played good with the stock Triangle but this tip takes it to another level. Sharp, crisp feel with a great sound. Very easy to move cue ball around. Highly recommended.

I'll give you an A+ for quick shipping! I don't know how you got them to me that fast. I've installed one (Pro SIB) and will be looking forward to seeing how it does. Thanks!
