Reporting Fraudulent Auctions on E-Bay

Our best bet is to report fraudulent auctions as soon as we see them.

If I suspect an auction is fraudulent, I report it as follows. I write down the auction number and the sellers ID. In "help" I type in "report fraud" or just bookmark this page:

There you will see forms available for reporting. The one I found is most effective is "misrepresentation of identity" - just fill it in and explain why you think it's a fraudulent auction.

Most of them I've reported have been cancelled within a day. I think they give identity theft a big priority.

The sooner we can get rid of these fraudulent auction, the less successful these people will be.

I saw that on cue eBay several months ago with the same pictures. The images are probably stolen. I could be wrong though, I have been before.

That cue I think went for 7K or 8K. The Szamboti cue prices are ridiculous even on E-Bay. I haven't seen one go cheap.

I reported on one cue sale a couple months ago where the seller had about 50 transactions and a 100%. The buyer was 100% with 3 transactions.

The price was really run up and then within 2 minutes of closing, the seller posted positive feedback. 4 minutes later, the buyer posted positive feedback noting fast shipment. Both with 6 minutes of the auction closing ?!?!?!?

My old girlfriend is a criminal psychologist. She always said most criminals are dumb and smart people get caught by doing something stupid.

Both of those eBay IDs were quickly canceled by their fraud group.

I know it. I can't believe E-Bay hasn't cancelled this auction yet. This is a very slow response from them. They must be having difficulty verifying that it is a phony.
