Yes, he made blanks for Burton Spain and took over Burton's business for a few years, making blanks for Balabushka. Then after a 30 year layoff is back to making blanks part time. Fred Agnir wrote a piece on him in inside pool. He's one hell of a nice guy.

By the way, he can make blanks with full length handles and can also finish the inside veneers to a point on special orders.

his blanks were $350, a fantastic price for the workmanship, but i believe they went up a few months ago. john also includes some matching wood for the handles as well. the man is very meticulous about his work, i recommend him highly.
