Joe, I do not use either, I just hang my shafts and other wood in a dry environment. I do not think that wood stabilizers are the answer to anything. The natural way long term will always give you better results than any chemical stabilizer.
Look at the Asian products, the wood is soaked in the stuff. Now I know that part of the problems may also stem from using poor quality wood or wood that was not been seasoned properly. But, I see cues everyday, that have not been handled by the owner correctly, IE, left in a car trunk or other location without tempreture control. The cues Butts warp, the shafts warp, and the problems go on and on, Good wood is good wood and a stablizer will not change anything.
Buy the best wood you can afford, and treat it like gold, and you will not need to worry about wood stablizer!!!
