To me, there isn't a significant difference when it is .0036" either way, but most can tell the difference when they feel the shaft. It may be enough difference for some.

I played the 314 series since the late 90's. Last year I finally decided to go all in on the Revo, and bought 2 30" 12.9's brand new from Predator (I'm tall and the 30" helps my grip hand). I absolutely hated them. They felt like a broom in my hand, and I wasn't moving the CB the same as the 314. I put them away. A few months later I bought a used 29" 12.4 and I thought it was perfect. It felt and moved the CB just like the 314's to me.

I have not tried the 11.8.
