Revo

I haven't been playing much lately (thanks new house ) but I love my Revo P3. Plays extremely similar to my old Pre Cat 314's. I have no issue with the diameter, color or hit. All good for me...........

Do you guys think Predator makes their own carbon fiber tubes to make their new shafts? that's hilarious....lol...they buy the tubes from this compay: http://www.clearwatercomposites.com/custom-products/carbon-fiber-tubing

you can order the tubes at whatever size you want.

You post this information as if it's a mater of fact statement.
Assuming they actually do "order the tubes" from CWC my guess is that they would be a proprietary item being made specifically for Predator.
I doubt ordering a tube at what ever size you want is actually feasible unless you simply want to fab a carbon fiber shaft.
I think that route was previously tested.

The Revo shaft looks nothing like the carbon tubes on CWC's site plus there is a "unidirectional carbon fiber tow" according to Predator.

I was going to order a predator revo cue for christmas. Instead I ended up buying a timmy scrugs sneaky pete that honestly I had no plans to play with. I just always wanted one. I've been playing with a road line with a 314/2 for a couple years and was generally happy with it. I'm now playing with the scrugs full time. I forgot the feel of a regular shaft. It hits amazing and now is my player. I now kind of feel the low deflection stuff is over rated.

On the other side of that my friend won his at the expo last year and he swears by it. He's been playing amazing .. broke the top 100 amateurs cash list and just won the new york 8 ball amateur..so I guess the moral of the story is to each there own lol

I'm shooting in a BCA 9 ball league tournament last night and our cues are strategically places in a row of cue claws on the edge of a solid/fixed bar that is a good 8' away from the tables.
A player backs away from the table at the same time a waitress is walking by; in the attempt to avoid each other they take out a bar stool which knocks over several cues like dominoes.
It was like slow motion as I watch my specific cue shaft clearly hit the bar, bounce on the leg of the bar stool and land on another cue.
Besides myself there were 4 other effected players all of which are in the higher echelon of the talent level. Everyone is now examining and/or working on minor dents/dings in shafts.
One of these guys had the glass rod dent tool in his case while another was simply using a shot glass. One of the guy's shaft is toast and he went to a backup; that gouge isn't coming out.
Meanwhile, I wiped my Revo shaft down with a paper napkin from under someone's drink glass and was good to go.
The Revo shaft isn't making me a better or worse player and it did take some time to get use to it; however, I'm not currently fixing or replacing a damaged shaft.

Low Deflection is great esp for thin shots using throw.

However , doesnt no deflection limits alot of things ?
For shots requiring masse or swerve esp to get around an obstructing ball to kick at object ball ?

When you masse/swerve you are putting some amount of bottom with the desired side spin. You want the cue ball spinning off of the perpendicular axis relative to the table, so that spin is catching the cloth and redirecting the cue balls movement.

In a word...NO. My Revo shaft masse's just fine, and jumps too. There are no limitations on this shaft.

"In a word...NO. My custom Revo shaft, specially fitted to my individual cue which uses a joint not currently available to anyone else masse's just fine, and jumps too. There are no limitations on my custom shaft.

Fixed it for you.

You are shooting, for free, a prototype shaft, custom fitted to your particular cue butt. It also uses a shaft to butt joint that was custom made as a 'one of' due to your status as an "influencer" (Predator's description, not mine, although I agree). This joint is not available to anyone else and according to a Predator email, not likely to be available to anyone else for a very long time, if ever, at any cost.

I have no doubt your custom REVO shaft works really well for you. You are a far more qualified judge of that than I will ever be.Your custom REVO shaft is not the same shaft 'Joe Average' gets when he buys a REVO shaft.

I look forward to taking additional lessons from you in the future.

I highly doubt the joint type makes a difference in regards to jump/masse performance.... Sorry, don't mean to rain on your custom parade

The masse shot with the Revo is fine, I have success and failure with them with the same frequency as any other shafts I use and/or have used. In any typical night of pool, there are always couple of opportunities for me to jump or masse; shooting with the Revo shaft doesn't change the decision what so ever.
I use a soft tip on mine but even then I never considered jumping with anything other than my jump cues.
