he likely would have seen his pics on the net and changed his looks dramatically. and where he went so as not to be recognized.
he may had already been in disguise if he was a hit man and after mike for some reason we will never know.
no telling where he is or where he went. can only speculate.
if they want to get real leads that are new then they need to plaster his pics on you tube, and x, and face book.
and spend the money on the dna.
still since he had stolen credit card and murdered a person he likely had a record and could be traced that way. not likely he never had a prison stay someplace at his age.
no one mentioned his accent at all . that may tell what part of the country he lived in and maybe wasnt even an american and left here.
old enough he could be dead or died in jail and would be unrecognizable now anyway.

You would think there's a lot of ways they could have caught this guy which they didn't do for some reason
I think it would have been a simple investigation they just didn't do The things you see other homicide detectives doing
if he was a common robber/killer he likely would have been identified. leads credence he might have been a pro hit man and it wasn't just a robbery killing.
but with the instant internet he might have changed his looks and fled the country. but it also seems strange no one has any idea who he was.

Ocean City MS, is two step above Mayberry RFD. Sure their Cops don't deal with major crimes daily. Besides today would assume the Detective Working Original CASE have retired, moved on, or looking for someone in current open case.
IMHO a good Tip on the SUSPECTS whereabouts could break case.

Some people deserve the good ol' days of Angola State Farm in Louisiana. When I was a young man they had a two by two vertical iron box in the yard. Too short for most people to stand, too small to kneel in. Three days in there in the boiling sun with a very minimum of water and a little bread would put the fear of God in most people. They went to a more humane way of beating prisoners back then too. A three inch wide, six foot long leather strap like a huge belt. It stretched horizontally in front of a two by four. The guard pulled the two by four back and released it. The two by four was supposed to stop before it hit the prisoner with just the heavy leather delivering the blow. Of course if the prisoner was "accidentally positioned" a few inches too far back they got board and all!
I knew a man that went to Angola. First day they served him a bowl of grits, just a bowl of grits, for breakfast. They didn't even use very hot water, the bugs were still crawling around. Roland said, "I can't eat this slop!" Three days in the box, just a fairly small glass of water once or twice a day. When they brought him back to his cell they gave him the same bowl of grits they had saved for him!
I'm leaning towards this dirtbag that killed Mike already being dead or in the joint but I'll hold out hope for a few years more. I would like to see some justice here.
